Exposure Braketing (AEB) - Photo Tip 155

Most DSLR and mirrorless cameras come equipped with a feature that allows you to bracket photos, ranging from underexposed to overexposed. This technique, combined with software, can enhance the dynamic range significantly in a single image. To optimize the use of Automatic Exposure Bracketing (AEB), it’s advisable to use the 2-second timer. Activating this timer will automate the capture process, taking all the bracketed shots sequentially. This is preferable to manually pressing the shutter button for each exposure, which requires you to keep track of the number of shots taken. Using the timer simplifies the process and ensures consistency across your bracketed series.
