In a rut?  Change something to get out of a rut.  In the spirit of learning, pick a setting that you have never used.  For example, if you use manual mode you likely never use P mode or one of the other automatic settings (not counting Aperture Priority or Shutter Priority).  Pick a setting do and shoot in that mode.
